When you don’t see him for a week, he will almost certainly surprise you with something! This time, it was several things:
He found my old sunglasses. „Opened“ them. Gave them to me. And waited for me to put them on. Laughed when he saw me with it. Took them back and tried to put them on, too.
He tried to comb his hair with a spatula.
He gave me his new boat when he was having his bath after he had watched my wind it up. He waited for me to wind it up and put it into the water and just before I let it go he smiled at me as though he wanted to say „We both know what’s gonna happen now. This is really nice!“. He repeated the whole thing a couple of times and I really enjoyed every time he was smiling at me.
He fell asleep in my arms so peacefully in front of the fireplace. Normally going to bed is a big pain and I think the last time he fell asleep in my arms was some time in July! I could see the flickering light of the fire on his skin… it was something to store in memory for a long time!
